Welcome to the Bucks County Covered Bridge Society!  Thank you for visiting our web site!  The Bucks County Covered Bridge Society was formed in 2007 with the following mission:

“The mission of the Bucks County Covered Bridge Society is to preserve, protect and promote the care of Bucks County’s Historic covered bridges as a significant part of our area’s history, culture and development.”

We hope that you will join us in our effort to preserve, protect and promote the historic covered bridges of Bucks County. Once the home of more than 50 covered bridges, Bucks County has lost many of these historic treasures over the years, as a result of flooding, neglect, progress, development, and arson. Today, only 12 covered bridges remain standing in Bucks County.

Whatever your background or interests, there is something about covered bridges you will find fascinating.  Whether you are a history buff, artist, photographer, craftsman, outdoor enthusiast, or just love to gaze at beautiful things, the covered bridges of Bucks County will hold an unmistakable charm and appeal.
